Before you ask,-Have most of your questions answered

·  If buyer backs out for any reason, they forfeit their deposit.  Under specific circumstances, another option of kitten will be provided at another time, reasoning will be discussed at the time.  

·  Buyer agrees to pay for shipping if shipping is required, if other arrangements are made, it will be added to the contract. 

·  Breeder cannot control temperament outcome, behavior, Health etc. after the kitten is in the buyer’s possession.  It is up to the buyer to provide health diet, vaccinations, deworming etc. upkeep permanently.

·  If neglect is ever suspected, the breeder can intervene and remove the kitten if the SPCA or other authorities have found the buyer to be guilty.

·  If the buyer at any time changes their mind and doesn’t want the kitten any longer, the breeder gets first right of refusal.  If the cat is rehomed, regardless of previous agreements, the cat must be neutered/spayed unless otherwise agreed upon.

·  The kitten comes with a one-year health guarantee, this is regarding hereditary defects that are life threatening to the cat.  

·  The breeder guarantees the kitten is 100% healthy at the time of sale and transfer.

·  If the buyer wants kitten insurance, the breeder can provide the information required to obtain it, there is options for 30 day insurance from Trupanion if the buyer requests this.

·  We provide a lifetime of support, if you have any questions, please ask – we want our kittens/cats to have the best possible life they can have.

·  Please place the kitten in a room for approx. 10 days for the kitten to get to know the new smells in their new environment, this will help the integration process.

·  The kitten/cat will always need to be on a high protein diet.  Orijen, Encana, Go - are examples of high protein diet.

·  Please keep the kitten on soft food for as long as possible, it has the fats they require as well as assistance in their teeth growth not eating hard food.

·  We recommend raw food.  If Big Country is the food of choice, please cook it and all raw first before serving.

·  Provide a large litter box for the growth of the cat.  We use Pretty litter to monitor urine, they seem to like this brand.

MaineCoon kittens/Cats need to be stimulated  as much as possible!  They love the toys with the wand! Provide them with as many tunnels, tents, toys etc to stimulate their instincts, you will have such a happy kitten and much needed for their development.

We recommend Orijen kitten food, Royal Canin kitten mouse and Big Country Raw for all dietary requirements.  These giant sweet monsters require a high protein diet for their digestive needs.

·  We highly recommend not allowing these cats to go outside unless fully vaccinated and in a cat-run that is secured.  This is not only a life but a huge investment for your family, they are very sweet and friendly cats, they are curious, please don’t provide opportunity for animals to hurt them, people to hurt or take them etc.

These cats have been extremely well socialized with dogs, other cats, kids etc.  They will warm up to other animals if they feel safe to do so.  If you have a dog that they feel can be aggressive, they will need monitoring at all times to ensure the safety of the cat, these cats aren’t meant for fighting, they don’t want to defend themselves.  Their demeanours are extremely friendly creatures that just want affection and will follow you everywhere, your bathroom breaks just became a party for two, they need to be a part of your everyday routines, they will make sure of it.

Before our kittens leave, we  give our kittens 7 days prior to departing in any mode of transportation, Enisyl-F or Viralys (Vet Recommended), Immune Paste that has L-Lysine to boost the kitten/Cats immune system.  When kittens leave their environment they have grown up in or are use to, their immune systems can lessen during stressful events like moving to a new home.  We highly recommend giving your new fur-baby L-Lysine for the next 10 to 14 days in their new home during their quarantine.
